DIY, Pro, or Commercial
DIY kits are the value option. You get the enclosure fabric and impact screen, and either buy the pipe framing kit as an add-on or source your own EMT pipe from a hardware store. Two people, an afternoon, and you're done.
Pro enclosures upgrade the materials and the finish. Carl's Place C-Series Pro uses BlackStop light-absorbing fabric for a darker, sharper projection surface, and a one-piece wraparound ceiling and sidewall design that cuts setup time significantly.
Commercial enclosures are built for volume. SIGPRO Commercial uses heavy-duty 2" framing and eliminates the bottom front pipe entirely — safer for the golfer and more immersive, because nothing interrupts the bottom of the image.
Retractable options
If the room has another job — a garage you still park in, a basement that's also a lounge — a retractable enclosure disappears when you're finished. The SportScreen Vanish Series and G-TRAK systems roll up into the ceiling. You lose nothing in image quality and get the room back.
Framing is usually sold separately
This catches people out. Most enclosure kits do not include the pipe frame. You either buy the matching framing kit or source your own EMT pipe locally. Buying the matched kit means pre-cut, labeled pipe that assembles without measuring or cutting.
Sizing
Enclosure width determines your screen size and how much room a left-hander has. Depth determines how far back the projector and launch monitor can sit. Measure your ceiling height first — that's the constraint most people hit.
