Framing kits
Most enclosures ship without the pipe frame. A matched framing kit gives you pre-cut, labeled pipe that assembles without measuring or cutting. The alternative is a trip to the hardware store with a cut list and a hacksaw. For a commercial enclosure with 2" heavy-duty pipe, the matched kit is worth it on time alone.
Light control
Ambient light is the enemy of a bright image.
- Blackout screens attach behind the impact screen and stop light bleeding through from behind. The single biggest image improvement for the money.
- Room curtains and valences close off the sides of the bay and hide the track hardware.
- Back cover kits block light from behind a Pro enclosure.
Safety
Baffles hang above the screen and catch high-angle shots — the ones that would otherwise hit your ceiling. Cheap, and you only need one skied 3-wood to justify it.
Side netting and net wall extensions catch shots leaving the enclosure sideways.
Foam inserts and frame padding wrap the pipe frame so a ball hitting steel deadens instead of ricocheting back at you. On a commercial bay this isn't optional.
Floor and finish
Landing pad mats protect the floor between the mat and the screen. Simulator flooring, carpet tiles and acoustic tiles finish the room — acoustic tiles in particular make a real difference in a garage, where impact noise bounces off bare walls.
